Eight Uses for Gü Puds Pots

Eco

Gü Puds are a massive guilty pleasure of mine. Whenever I plan a treat night for myself you can bet that a Gü Pud will be involved somewhere! However due to this obsession i have now accumulated what can only be described as an annoyingly large number of empty Gü pots. They fall out of cupboards and fill up drawers. Although they are made of glass so can be recycled, I have taken to trying to come up with as many uses as i can for them around the house so as to justify my regular indulgence. Here’s what I’ve got so far!

  1. Cooking

These ramekins are very handy in the kitchen. They can be used to create your own yummy dishes in, measuring out ingredients for a baking session, or just for decanting snacks like nuts into.

  2. Organising

Hair bands, drawing pins, earrings, screws… They make such cute little storage jars on a desk or dressing table.

  3. Hair Dye Mixing

If you’ve checked out my Instagram you will know that I dye my hair a lot! Gü pots are a fantastic size for mixing up colours and applying them with a dyeing brush.

  4. Painting

You will never need to buy a paint pallette again when you have a bunch of these! Big enough for even finger painting they wash out easily, but also look rather cool covered in paint.

  5. Soap Dish

I hate getting soap scum all around the sink so having a soap dish is a must for me. A Gü Pot works great! Although you do have to make sure you wash the pot every few days.

  6. Gardening

I am currently growing spring onions in a Gü Pot on my windowsill, but they can also make great cactai pots. They also look mega cute filled with water on a coffe table with a few pretty flowers floating in them!

  7. Candle Making

This is actually an idea I haven’t yet tried myself, but I’ve always thought they would be great pots for candle making! However for the time being I use them as tealight holders instead.

  8. Gift Wrapping

Dressed up like a jam jar, with a fabric lid and tied with a ribbon, they are perfect for gifts like jewellery or homemade sweets!

So that’s my list so far. Let me know in the comments if you have any other uses for Gü Puds pots!
